Note that ‘autosave’ is different from ‘revisions’. There is only one autosave at a time, but there can be many revisions; each revision is when you do a ‘save draft’, or ‘update’.
So when you write a post, there is an autosave going on (currently set at every 2 minutes). Every two minutes, the autosave is updated. Still only one autosave though.
If you ‘save draft’, that is a revision. If you then ‘update’, that is another revision. You can see the revisions if you have enabled ‘revisions’ in the ‘screen options’ of the WP editor. (That choice won’t be there if there are no revisions in the current post.)
So, autosave is now enabled here. Revisions were always enabled here; you will only see the revision box if there are revisions.
For the geeky, autosave is enabled with this command in the wp-config.php file:

I’ve verified that TRIM is enabled. I’ve looked at the “recommended” by various web sites of changes to settings. Looked….
I left System Restore on with 2% space allowed because it has been useful a couple of times. It’s a 1TB drive. 2% is nothing.
I’ve never bothered with Hibernation. I like Sleep, it works for me. Pagefile is whatever Win7 wants. With 6GB RAM I have never noticed the box swapping.
Pre-fetch and Super fetch? Whatever. Win7 seems to know what it is doing. I see no need to mess with something I have never messed with.
I did, finally, stumble across the setting for wake timers. Control Panel / Power Options / “Change advanced power options” / Sleep / Allow wake timers and changed to Disabled.
That should stop the machine from waking up at about 2 AM on random days.
I have yet to find the setting so bumping the mouse doesn’t wake the machine. Not a big deal. I thought it was in the properties of the mouse.
I’ve had “fun” merging folders. “Merge” is Win7’s word. But yeah, I have “merged” stuff copied from the last four or five PC’s into one folder. I found stuff from my Win98SE box buried 3 folders deep in a copy of my XP drive.
All cleaned up. Maybe. So…. being a bad boy, I ran defrag. I don’t know if it helps but I feel better.

Finished here at Universal. Kids in bed. Headed to the mouse tomorrow.
If you are doing Universal, you want the Express Pass. We rode everything we wanted to twice, and some thrice. No waiting. The need to constantly put your stuff in lockers, sometimes backed up with a metal detector and wanding, sucked. You want to carry as little as possible, small purse or fanny pack max.
We’re in one of their connected hotels. It’s very nice, the food is good, portions WAY too big, but expensive.
The two Harry Potter rides are really good. Most of the rides involve climbing a bunch of stairs. You don’t see many power scooters here, like you do at WDW. That said, most of the rides aren’t particularly fun. The tech was cool, but there’s something lacking. The Minions and Simpson’s rides were fun, esp the Minions.
My tablet ran out of juice and I left the cord are home, so I’ll be posting from my phone, which is a misery, or possibly my wife’s iPad. I’m sure that will have issues too.

Imagine if some conservative or alt-right group went marching around like that – the media would be all over it. Left wing group? Even better, black? Crickets…

If you have a rental car, find Bubbalou’s BBQ, just north of the Universal property.
We also try to hit Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza at least once if we’re in the area.
I’d suggest an Indian restaurant on International, but you would question my sanity until the moment you stepped through the door.
Same goes for Gatorland.

I don’t get that, either. Last time I visited the US, this was a general problem: insanely big portions served in restaurants. It would have been about right, to order one portion per two people, and split it. Sometimes we just ordered a starter, because that was basically a full meal. Actually, I still gained about 2lbs/week while there – took me a month back home to drop the weight again…
A practice you see in some nicer restaurants here: Serve a sensible-sized first portion, then offer seconds for big eaters. Although I suppose people might abuse it, demanding their seconds in a takeaway-box, which is hardly the idea. Somehow, that’s not a problem here, not sure why.
Definitely. And the locker areas are way too crowded.
Simpsons and Minions were good. I had to close my eyes during some of both rides though. I don’t do particularly well on simulator rides anymore. After this trip, I’m officially calling it a career on those.
Roller coasters are another deal. I still do great on milder ones, but extreme ones (like at Universal) have started to give me a headache while riding. No issues with the coasters at Disney, as they are tuned to be gentler for the younger riders. Well, except Space Mountain, which is just a bumpy nightmare, but it’s a fun nightmare.

I am sure I felt my brain moving inside my skull on that coaster and had a headache for the rest of the day and night. Not fun, but the 7yo loved it and went twice….
