86F and humid at 9AM. Yesterday’s overcast helped with the heat, but no such luck today. I really want to get some tweaks made to the garden beds, but I’m not doing it in 100F+ sunshine.

Walked six miles in Munich today. Will sleep well tonight. Tomorrow is a six hour trip north by train to Hövelhof. One night there then on to Haltern which is close for just one night. Croatia is the next country where we arrive on Wednesday for six days to attend a wedding.

I’m no OFD, but here is my simple explanation of what must be done.
There is no place for people who follow religions/non-religions that do not respect life, all life. Yes I sound like I am speaking a contradiction but if you understand the real basis of the 10 Commandments, the Old Testament, and the Reformation that brought the New Testament you will not fall for line “vengeance is mine saith The Lord”. What is being referred to is the vengeance that will be wrought upon us if we do not keep the earth clean of the followers of Seven Princes of Hell. By their works they will be known and if we want to be spared the Judgement then we must execute Judgement upon them, without mercy.
We have been given Free Will. An awesome responsibility. Free Will requires informed responsible action.
Then at our movie night at the pool we had a drive by shooting. Just got the movie started when the shots rang out, 5 or six small caliber rapid shots, and the truck accelerated away. Couldn’t tell if the shots were aimed at anyone or straight up. Got security video of the vehicle but it was too far away and the cameras too cheap (not my system) to tell much. Full size red pickup. No injuries but a couple of people left the pool.

Yeah, that first exercise of free will in the Garden of Eden did not work out so good for Adam and Eve. Eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil only brought them shame as they realized that they were naked. One wonders if we will find out what really happened then.
WRT the driveby, several of our board members saw the truck and the driver’s arm out the window shooting, so yeah, sure it wasn’t fireworks.
Cops responded pretty quickly, zoomed around for a while, then left.
I still have to get the video off the recorder. It was in an error state with the mouse not working, so I couldn’t do it that night. I need time when no one is there to reboot. I’m going to take a lappy and see if I can get the vid off over the network too.
Hot as hades in the office so that might be why the box is flaky. Air conditioner upgrade is in process…
I might just upgrade to a pro box anyway, or add another box with some better cameras, gnu knows I’ve got plenty laying around doing no good here. It’s a time and money sink that I have to limit, or I’ll go overboard though.

I figured out how to do some torture testing of my new tranny in my Expy today. The wife and I were out looking at houses after church and lunch. I went down the road with the new bridge across Rabbs Bayou and they had not finished the new bridge yet. So, I took the low water crossing that was totally dry. I would not have taken it had there been any workers present.
Anyway, the low water crossing is packed dirt with a 20% grade on both sides. The crossing is about 30 ft deep. So I took off down the crossing embankment and the wife yelled, “What are you doing?”. I replied, “I am trying out the new transmission”. She then proceeds to yell “No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” at the top of her voice which turns into a scream. I had thought that I would be able to hear the tranny too but she drowned it and the motor out.
So anyway, I got to the bottom of the low water crossing and gunned it up the other side. The Expy dropped to first gear and rooster tailed two perfect columns of red dirt out the back. The new tranny worked perfectly. I have limited slip and it worked great also. Of course, I not really planned on washing my truck which it now needs as the rear hatch (originally white) is now red from the low water crossing dirt.
I am highly satisfied. The wife, not so much. The daughter is glad that she was not along with us but she is glad the new tranny works well also.
On the train to Paderborn. Got a six seat compartment with just the two of us. Train is going to Berlin but we are getting off in Nurenburg to take the train to Paderborn. Most of the seats are reserved. Even four of the seats in this compartment are reserved from Nurenburg to Berlin, where apparently most of the people are headed.
First sat seats that were not reserved, then DB reserved the seats and the people showed up. Had to move to the compartment. Better place anyway to travel so it is good. Next challenge is finding a seat on the train to Paderborn.
Biggest problem with the German Rail Pass is that it is basically standby for for 1st class. Never had a problem getting seats but you sometimes have to hunt through a couple of cars. But for the price the pass is a no-brainer.
