Not so cool, but certainly damp. I’m guessing, but it was 77F and dripping when I went to bed. Absent a cold front coming through, it’s still gonna be both of those things in today.
It was nice at the BOL, with the sun staying hidden most of the day. The brief time it was out, it burned like fire.
I got the main goal done. The middle bedroom has a vapor barrier applied to the floor. Getting to where I could make that statement took a bit more effort than I hoped. And grinding concrete. And epoxy. And more grinding. In any case, it should be ready to put the floor back in next weekend.
I ticked a couple of minor things off my list too, and even took an hour while the epoxy was curing to throw the lure into the lake a few times. No fish were biting.
Today I need to focus on home stuff. And auction stuff of course. If it’s not raining I’ll head to my storage unit and do more sorting. If it is raining, I’ll do stuff here indoors.
I need some sales so I can do some more stacking.
There is always more you can do, and more you can stack. Get busy.

Always easier after fall back, even with the supposed “extra” hour.
Disney/Marvel is circling the drain, and the future projects will be savaged on Twitter by upset fans willing to pay $8/month to have their voices heard.
Didn’t actually get an early night, despite starting my “end of day” routine an hour earlier. Had a fitful night too.
72F and saturated this am.
It’s not 82F but it’s not 52F either. Seems weirdly warm.
n
Um, “BRUTAL” 72 degree heat?
Race leader Daniel Do Nascimento COLLAPSES in brutal 72F heat in the NYC Marathon before Sharon Lokedi and Evans Chebet complete a Kenyan clean sweep

Back in SA. Rode the Southwest Max8 again. I like it. Off to Miami on Wed and start the TCM Cruise on Sat. We may get to the Grand Caymans and just stay to avoid COVID 2.0 when plugs releases it.
Actually, I think plugs’ handlers have let him off his leash to self destruct. Then they can run a Black Lesbian or Tranny of their choice in 2024.
Probably written by a DM staffer in Sunrise*. Photos are Reuters.
72 in November would be brutal to the UK readers
* My guess as to the location of their US bureau.
Ack! Tropical storm heading for Florida. If we set sail, maybe we’ll get an extended cruise. COVID optional.
The latest ad campaign for jabs from the Biden regime, “Just In Time”!
The “We Can Do This” meme is really insidious and targets women with the message IMHO, invoking the WWII poster that seems to be everywhere at military-related museum gift shops as of late, particularly flight museums.

We have one of those magnets on our refrigerator.

Hurricane season runs through the end of November. Anything in Florida during the season is a cr*p shoot.
Late Winter/Early Spring is generally predictable weather, but the most damaging storm in Tampa in recent history was the March ’93 “No Name” event, a Noreaster that blew up in the Gulf and swept N-NE.
Huh. WRSA picked up the “Covid amnesty” image I made yesterday.

72 is much too warm for a marathon, and more so if it is also sunny
72 is much too warm for a marathon, and more so if it is also sunny
– apparently not for the Kenyans… must be white fragility.
n
It is cold and overcast in Kenya. That is why they suck at marathons…oh, wait.
LOL in response to Dumbos who say Democracy dies tomorrow:
“Democracy is not at risk, Democrats are”
iiiittttssss baaacckkk….
Weird happenings: I was at the 99-cent store yesterday and they had no shopping carts.
When I asked the clerk they said that all 40 of their brand new carts had been stolen, and all of their hand baskets. The carts all had the anti-theft wheel locks, so it was a major heist.
At a guess, someone is selling them to the “homeless”.
I’m seeing a lot of chicken related stuff in the amazon returns auctions. coop warmers, waterers, feeders, automatic door openers… incubators, etc. Some bee keeping suits too.
Guess it didn’t work out for some people….

“Starlink Sets High-Speed Data Cap at 1TB Per Month, Lowers Advertised Speeds”
https://www.pcmag.com/news/starlink-sets-high-speed-data-cap-at-1tb-per-month-lowers-advertised-speeds
“To receive more priority access, residential Starlink users will need to pay $0.25 per each additional GB used. SpaceX is also reducing the advertised speeds for Starlink.”
That will take care of the high bandwidth people. There are always a few doing crazy things.
“Elon Musk: Unlabeled Parody Accounts on Twitter Will Be Banned”
https://www.pcmag.com/news/elon-musk-unlabeled-parody-accounts-on-twitter-will-be-banned
“He’s cracking down after several verified accounts, including those from comedians Kathy Griffin and Sarah Silverman, changed their Twitter names to parody and criticize Elon Musk.”
Musk is serious about this, Twitter deleted many accounts over the weekend that were spoofing him personally. That was not cool of Kathy Griffin and the others.
“The International Hypocrisy and Ignorance Conference Begins!”
https://www.sovereignman.com/trends/the-international-hypocrisy-and-ignorance-conference-begins-144013/
“It’s finally here. Today’s the day. More than 35,000 people have begun descending on the picturesque Egyptian resort town of Sharm El Sheikh to participate in the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP27. Or as I prefer to call it, the International Hypocrisy and Ignorance Conference. The absurdity starts with the selection of Egypt as the host country, and Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s prominence as a heavily featured speaker at the event.”
“You are probably aware that el-Sisi runs a brutal, highly authoritarian, dictatorial regime in Egypt. He has murdered protesters, tortured activists, snuffed out political opponents, censored the press, and more. In Egypt’s 2018 presidential ‘election’, for example, el-Sisi miraculously won 97% of the vote, making him even more popular than Joe Biden.”
Yes, all the carts that you see homeless with have been stolen. There are no stores that sell them. Consequently, all homeless that you see with a cart could be arrested, charged with stealing one or harboring stolen equipment.
>> 72 is much too warm for a marathon, and more so if it is also sunny
Something more like 55 and a light mist is preferable. Which was not uncommon in early November in NYFC before
climate change, global warming,oh, never mind.Grocery store carts are not cheap either. IIRC they are about $300 each.
n
There are recons available for 100-200$
n
It’s called “battle space preparation.”

Dry is better, water vapor displaces O2. Drink and sweat for cooling.

To receive more priority access, residential Starlink users will also need a blue checkmark on Twitter.

Need something to do? To tinker with your Win11 computer? Download Power Toys . Works on Win10, too.`
https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys
Save for a rainy and cold day.
There are a few neat features that I turned off. I don’t have a Win Key on my keyboard. Like I would ever remember the win+ combo. Ctrl-C and etc. is about it.
Mouse utilities… I have the ctrl button set to do the “sight rings” for lack of a better term. Sometimes I still can’t find the mouse. This adds a spot light effect.
Awake… keeps the machine on, handy when using bit torrent. You don’t have to mess with your power plans. Although I think utorrent keeps the machine on if it is running. But for things like copying an entire hard drive across the LAN, or downloading your entire website, yeah, could be handy.
Hosts File Editor…. needs looking at, may be easier and quicker than editing a copy of the file and dropping it in to System. May be easier than digging down to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Image Resizer… looks interesting. Resize a lot of pictures all at once. I don’t resize pictures often. I think Paint Shop Pro can do this. Looks like something useful for Ray.
Keyboard Manager… something to look at later. Maybe I can make the Scroll Lock key act like the Win key? Does Scroll Lock even do anything other than make noise like Num Lock and Caps Lock?
Power Toys Run… pretty cool. Alt-space and start typing. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/run
Looks like it may rain any moment now. And suddenly it’s sunny. Nice day to have the windows open.
“White House Attempts Damage Control After Joe Biden Announces He is Going to Shut Down Coal Plants”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/11/white-house-attempts-damage-control-joe-biden-announces-going-shut-coal-plants/
“Joe Biden on Friday delivered remarks on his CHPIS and Science Act at the Viasat headquarters in Carlsbad, California. Biden celebrated coal plant workers losing their jobs. “No one is building new coal plants because they can’t rely on it,” Biden said on Friday in north San Diego county. “Even if they have all the coal guaranteed for the rest of the existence of the plant.””
““So it’s going to become a wind generation,” Biden added. “And all they’re doing is, it’s going to save them a hell of a lot of money and using the same transmission line that they transmitted the coal-fired electric on. We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar power.””
But wind and solar power does not work at temperature extremes. So we are either going to freeze or sweat. Thanks Slow Joe !
“Scientist Discovers 100% of Global Warming Models Over-Predict Global Warming”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/11/scientist-discovers-100-global-warming-models-predict-global-warming/
“Dr. Roy Spencer a well-known climatologist and global doom skeptic (not a climate change skeptic to my knowledge) posted this article on October 20th. According to No Consensus there are two key points you should know. First, Dr. Spencer was one of the main people involved in satellite temperature measurement and is currently the team leader for the top/only satellite-based microwave global temperature radiometers used by NASA. Dr. Spencer compared all of the climate models from the past 50 years and found that EVERY SINGLE MODEL over-predicted global warming.”
Not much credibility there in the so-called climate models.
I am sad. Today, Whoopi FartBerg announced it is leaving Twitter. Thank you, Elon.
Ok. I received from Big River a cabinet slide out. Two levels. It seems to be very well made. I didn’t expect it to fit under the kitchen sink what with the RO filters on one side and the RO pressure tank on the other side along with all the plumbing.
So let us go with Plan B. Bathroom. Dang thing is about an inch too long. The upper tray is a bit shorter. It looks like you bolt the rails to the tray. This may work, I just want a slide out “drawer” under the sink so I’m not on hands and knees with a FLASHLIGHT to see what is there.
And you know, I have a hacksaw. White Trash Engineering WILL win.
Hey, that whole Warner Bros Discovery spin off from AT&T? Is that even a thing or was I robbed of half of my stock value?
I don’t have a lot of shares, enough to get a check for almost $25 a quarter. But now, I get about $13.50.
Sure smells of U-Tote-M stock and then CircleK bought the company and then they did this and that and my three plus years of buying stock at about $10 a week from my pay check, about $1700, went to zero. Ok, $4.60.
>> When I asked the clerk they said that all 40 of their brand new carts had been stolen, and all of their hand baskets. The carts all had the anti-theft wheel locks, so it was a major heist.
Hmm, I checked the Ford.com site but the cargo specs for the F-150 doesn’t list shopping cart capacity.

It does smell doesn’t it ? I find that when they can sell something, they get cash. Otherwise they spin off the crap. And this smells like crap.
And BTW, AT&T has more crap to get rid of. DirecTV, I am looking at you.
WRT AT&T, I worked for them for a while about 65 years ago.
Whiner. Let me tell you a tale of my Enron stock. I still have the $0.02 check, all that was left of my $25K.
Don’t you mean “FatBerg”? One of the most useless humans on earth. A racist pig.
Kenny Boy!
However tempting it might be, annointing Governor DeSantis as the Republican nominee Wednesday morning would be a big mistake. That’s how we got Shrub.
The next to go would have been Legacy PacBell, but Frontier, telecom’s usual dumping ground, went bankrupt and CenturyTel now owns Qwest.
AT&T isn’t going to let DirecTV go anytime soon. In places where running fiber isn’t lucrative, DirecTV provides the TV part of the bundle deals.

New for $170 – $205. Of course, shipping for just one is more than the cart costs.
No security wheel lock though.

@paul, I use the image resizer power toy fairly often to resize photos for attaching to email. (actually, the power toy got deprecated on my old hardware so someone wrote a clone, and I use that. I’m glad it’s an actual Power Toy again.)
Super easy to right click on the file or files, select a new size and hit ok. Fast too.

That was freaking sad. The supervisor needs to be fired. The lady cop needs some constitutional rights training.
I think they are laying the groundwork to give ol’ Joe the heave ho…
On eve of midterms, whistleblower to tell investigators that Hunter AND then-VP Biden were part of call to discuss online gambling venture in Latin America – with Joe asking about revenues and talking like he was chairman of the board
