Cool, dry and sunny. Nice.
Just like yesterday. Only we did get a bit of patchy cloud, making me wonder if rain was coming anywhere in town. Didn’t materialize though.
Spent the morning getting some additional stuff ready for auction, spent the afternoon dropping it off, chatting with the auctioneer, and then wasting better than an hour on a pickup when the guys weren’t there.
I made over $800 on the previous bins of stuff so I’m hoping for more this time around. Drop in the bucket, both for stuff and for money, but ‘baby steps’.
I mentioned previously that I was shifting my focus and treating the election shenanigans as a disaster that has arrived. I meant that the watching, waiting, and prepping phase was over, and now I’m in the ‘dealing with it’ phase. If this was a hurricane, I’d be raking the yard, running the gennie, and passing out hot chocolate. As it is, I’m not going to watch obsessively, only ‘keep an eye’ on things. I can’t change anything except to spread awareness, and the people that are likely to be convinced already are, so that’s mostly wasted effort. Instead I’ll continue getting ready for the next blow, getting stuff in order here. Bad times are still coming, and now they might come with sleepy Joe or the ho* in charge.
My advice is the same. Be ready for shortages. Be prepared to stay at home for prolonged periods. Expect social and economic disruptions and continuing degradation from ‘the good old days.’ Plan to see this through to the other side. Grand gestures are grand, but there are still Jews in Poland, and Germany. We, the collective we, can and will get through this. We, the personal we, may not. But there are no guarantees in this life anyway, and as Zero Hedge says, On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.
So do what you can, accept that it might not be enough, but give it the old school try.
And keep stacking.

On a separate but related topic, of comms and info sharing, might be time to look into setting up BBSs again, accessible by radio or IP…
Standard phone lines still have a lot of protection in terms of expectation of privacy and paperwork required to simply get a pen trace. Group III Fax and 9600 baud are the future again, just as they are in many parts of the world even now.
I had someone ask about a UUCP setup for secure file sharing and messaging a few years ago. It was one of the topics I intended to research during my unexpected vacation, but house and cat issues are filling the time headed up to 11/16.
I even have the old school OReilly book (imagine!) on UUCP — I never really learned how Unix processes mail or serial connections. I also have two old school modems along with UDP-serial converters and low speed Raspberry Pis to make a complete system work.
The flag of the Banana Republic of America
If you’re speaking as a website operator who is cognizant of disparate attention by law enforcement and hosting services, that’s reasonable and I’ll respect it.
If you’re speaking morally, it isn’t and I can’t. We are watching one sector of the American populace attempting the blatant conversion of the republic to a banana republic, accompanied by calls for our imprisonment, impoverishment, or murder. The shallowest study of ProgLibComm rhetoric and actions of the past decade or two and the shallowest study of the history of Communist and other “progressive” revolutions of the past century show that they mean what they say.
The local PD is looking for someone, they are using the person’s live feed to try to figure out where they are. They saw a mall in the background but can’t quite place it “No, xxx mall has their Christmas deco up already…”
They’ve also asked for a license plate to be added to the LPR (license plate reader) “Hot list”. The reply was that he couldn’t add it to NVLS but could add to local LPR network.

Houston was the competition. The tech on the toll lanes is old.
I have.
There are sensors that detect the metal of a vehicle to open the gate. I have one somewhere on my side of the gate for exiting but it stopped working. I played with it in various locations and on the outside of the gate, the neighbors driving by would open the gate. It was an idea.
I don’t have a keypad. I have a doorbell button on a post. The keypad wires in just like a doorbell button so, why bother?
Towards the house I have a road sensor that chirps in the house. Somewhere. Folks that know of it think it’s part of the gate. That works fo me. It can be avoided but you’ll be cutting down trees on one side or circling around the entire pasture.
It’s a FedEx thing. UPS and most Amazon drivers come to the house.
The scanner has the LPR pinging on their target outside of Flatonia. They seem to be a San Antonio crew of bad guys and they are on the move.

It will take a proven case of a lot of ballots that are illegal. There is a tweet about 14,000 dead people voting in the Detroit area. If that can be proven, Dumbo judges don’t dare dismiss cases out of hand. Watch which judges dismiss cases. They better have good reasons and in writing.
If Plugs wins, tRump and McConnell need to speed up Federal Judge appointments. Three SCOTUS appointments and 100’s of Fed appointments are a tRump successful first term. When I talk to my Lib friends, they don’t even realize this. They just hate the *illegitimate* Notorious ACB since she replaced Crone Ginsburg. They have no idea how tRump has gained decades of Constitutionalism, they just hate ORANGE MAN BAD! They can’t even articulate why. I always get “tRump put kids in cages, look at those pictures”. When I point out those were pictures from Obola’s reign they just sputter. I keep it civil since they are friends.
I’m happy if tRump isn’t re-elected. The Redumbo’s need to tie Plugs up, get a spine, challenge his EO’s just like the Dumbo’s did to tRump. McConnell needs to give Stretch the middle finger. No more pork spending. Did I mention GROW A SPINE!
I have asked people that hate Trump why they hate him. Is their life any worse now than it was 5 years ago? Has Trump done anything to harm them? They don’t answer and generally say Trump is an idiot and I am stupid if I can’t see the problem. Color me stupid I guess.
The wife looked at the news this morning and said “I have some money set aside, we need to set down this weekend and plan how to survive Bidens long dark winter”.
We are going to be stacking even deeper and keeping a low profile.
The Lame Stream Media is crowning Plugs the winner. The ProgLibTurds have won the election “without firing a shot” as Mr. OFD would say. I believe by the end of the day, one of the contested States will be called for Plugs. Voter fraud is real and this election is over. New voting rules will be proposed by the Redumblicans, but the Dumbocrats will shoot them all down. President tRump won only because the ProgLibTurds were laughing about how could ORANGE MAN BAD beat Cankles.
I can’t wait for the fawning by the LSM at Plugs’ first conference. Anyone not getting on their knees will be called “fat, dog faced ponies, thugs” etc by Plugs. The late night comedians are all weepy eyed at how tRump destroyed the Nation. It is truly disgusting how the LSM has taken over and destroyed the FUSA.
Remember Plugs’ first EO is a 6 month mandatory face diaper lockdown that will totally get rid of COVID-19. Then Citizenship for all illegals, tear down the wall, higher taxes and quashing the investigation into Plugs’ Junior. I will relish the challenges in court all the way to SCOTUS. Every idea Plugs has stated is unconstitutional. Tie him up in court for four years.
Plugs is not the risk. All the other apparatchiks he brings along are the risk. All the shit that gets slammed thru is the risk. Every tick that attaches itself to the body politic is the risk. Look how hard it’s been for Trump to get the partisans out this time around.
And then there is the Crying Wolf factor. Every failed accusation decreases the chances of being believed later, so if T doesn’t prove fraud now, it will be impossible to prove it next time too.
FFS, 90K excess votes in one state alone going by the votes for senator… that’s industrial scale.

I noted lots of Portland cops living on the WA State side of the river during our time there.
Austin cops live in Williamson County, near me, but the county went blue this year, replacing the Sheriff with a Dem whose campaign was funded by trial lawyers. Bell County, the next conservative real estate, is another 45 minutes north on I35 *without* traffic.

Ten months will be enough if the Republicans hold the Senate. The Dems only have a 20 seat margin in the House, and the shakedown of donors will have to start next Thanksgiving for 2022. Congress will be preoccupied with the midterms after that.

So, how is an Executive Order for a mandatory six months of kabuki going to be enforced?
If not overruled by SCOTUS, by *stompy foot*. The LSM will do all in its’ power to prop up Plugs at every turn. Until Camel gets him 25th’d. Then the real fun starts.

Rush Limbaugh is making a lot of sense this morning, as usual.
The vote by dead and other non-existent and non-registered voters is at an all-time high.
Carefully look at the photos/film of the vote counting. There is no ballot security, it is a mess. Ballots are never to be left out in the open on tables/counters. And yes, I have been an election official in the past, and what I am seeing and hearing makes me cringe.
Isn’t it interesting that the down-ticket Republicans are doing very well. The dumbocrats are concentrating all their fraud on Trump.
The electoral system is very broken. Our Republic is no more.

There will never be another non Dum-bro-crat elected to the Presidency in the USA as they will be enboldened by their success now. In 2022 they will start going after the repuglican senators with election fraud.
I don’t know how to fight the election fraud without federal election monitors watching the counting. And that is not going to happen.
I have no idea how to fix the massive fraud going on now. The only way I see it being reversed is a bunch of people involved coming forward and that is not going to happen.
It’s certainly a strange situation. I actually suspect that the fraud is concentrated at the mid-to-low levels. The upper ranks may be looking the other way, but they sure wouldn’t want to get caught in election fraud – afaik that is some serious jail time.
The question is proving it. Sure, if you have a district that sent in substantially more votes than it has voters, it’s obvious. I doubt that the cheating was that ham-handed, at least, not generally.
Did I ask this already, and miss the answer? Anyway: what happens then? Suppose District 123 has 100 registered voters and 200 votes – do you throw out all 200? Ask the voters to vote again? I mean, you have no idea which votes are correct, so…what happens?

The irony is that many of the Asians are chock full of -isms behind closed doors.
And lest anyone think I’m going strictly on the basis of anecdotal evidence dealing with my wife’s extended family — who, among other quirks, are fond of the word “colored” to describe African Americans — I encourage you to go search the brand history of the “Darlie” toothpaste. Remember, it is impossible to unsee something.
I saw a tube of Darlie with the original name and old cartoon logo on a shelf in an Asian grocery as late as the mid-90s in Orlando. I kick myself for not buying the tube and keeping it as a conversation starter, particularly with the in-laws.

Re: comment moderation notices
I’ve tweaked things a bit regarding comments that are held for moderation.
– the notice that you comment is held is now in red color text, and in a larger font. This is the notice you get when a comment is held, and appears just above your comment after you submit.
– notification of held comments currently go to Nick’s and my email address. This is working as before; I have verified that the notification emails are received by me.
The above changes should help with alerting people that their comments were withheld for some reason.

I have replaced 9 out the 16 light fixtures now over the last year and half. The old 1,000 watt metal halides are about half burned up. The new 150 watt and 200 watt LED fixtures are 1/10th the size and 1/5th the weight. And turn on instantly instead of ten minutes to warm up.
I forgot to mention that the bell housings are the old 1,000 watt metal halide lights. The new 150 watt (70 bulbs) and 200 watt (90 bulb) LED lights are the very bright flat panels. There is only one 150 watt LED in the center of the second row of lights. There is no light in the center of the first row for some reason even though it is over the passageway to the north side of the warehouse.
“you have no idea which votes are correct, so…what happens?”
—you go thru by hand and disqualify every one you can. ALL of these should be physical ballots. The problem is chain of custody and if they’ve been physically mixed in with others.
Go thru the precinct rolls. However many illegal voters you have, throw that many funny looking ballots out. IDK what the actual law says, but remember, Trumps political enemies are the ones in charge of counting and verifying in the areas where there are issues. It’s not going to be easy, and someone may have to freeze the count as reported at a certain point, or the results might have to be thrown out and a new election held. We do run off elections all the time.

I have read “The Once and Future King”. 1 out of 27.
Wife is looking at “lake houses” again. Today’s good looking candidate is surrounded by national forest, and 11 acres of land at the end of a gravel road. Hmmmm. Decidedly NOT the fancy looking places in the middle of resort neighborhoods she was looking at a couple of weeks ago.

Dodger, Pratchett- liked it a lot. Stand alone, not Discworld
The Once and Future King, by T. H. White THOUGHT I had read it, but synopsis doesn’t ring any bells.
DODO, Stevenson, et al. Liked it a lot. Time travel paradox and witches.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, by Susanna Clarke. Read it, no memory.
I’d recommend any of those but the Strange one.

I had no idea that there was such a beast. I won’t tell the wife, she will buy it too.
Espresso roast Pilon brewed in a Bialetti Moka pot.
Brewed in a regular drip pot, you’ll get a stronger taste from an espresso roast, but using the Moka will really concentrate the caffeine jolt.
I avoid the espresso. I already have caffeine issues.
And get a real Bialetti. No Chinese made knockoff.
Purists will debate Cafe Bustelo vs. Pilon, but it really is a matter of personal choice. My wife will buy whatever is available but the preference is Pilon.
I avoid the espresso myself. I already have caffeine issues.
I believe that has been the plan all along. Put someone on the verge of senility in the candidates position. Then get him out of office by declaring incompetent. Then the “african american-polish-native american-white-jewis-female?” can assume the role. In the process reward all her friends and attempt to rule the US with an iron fist.
People don’t understand that executive orders do not apply to the public, only government employees and officials. The president cannot legislate or pass laws with congressional and judicial oversight. An executive order from the president should be completely ignored by the general public. There is no crime disobeying an order that is not a law. But they will find someway to convict by finding some obscure statute, little used, out of date, but certainly enforceable. Such as in San Antonio it is illegal to carry fencing pliers in the city limits. Or simply plant drugs on the individual or in their vehicle.
Correct me if I’ve missed something, but the hair salon where Nancy Pelosi went had better video surveillance than the ballot-counting areas in any Democrat-run cites.
Quoted for truth.
The problem is that a lot of cops either don’t know this or don’t care. (First loyalty is to their paychecks and pensions.) And it’s very difficult to find a judge to throw out the charges on unconstitutionality. Or to find a judge who will accept a lawsuit filed against a governor for exceeding his authority. (cf the lawsuits filed against Fredo’s Stupider Brother, not a one of which has gotten past the filing stage in seven months, so far as I can find out.)

The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. by Neal Stephenson & Nicole Galland – 2017
Unsurprisingly, half were published before the SJWs took over SF.
Stephenson’s book prior to “D.O.D.O”, “Seveneves” was a combination of SJW fantasy — complete with a Wise Latina leading the effort to rebuild the human race — and shilling for Blue Origin, the author’s “day job” at the time.
Nick, I tried various ad blockers with Firefox on Linux, and don’t have the time to look them up. My biggest complaint was some sites I wanted to visit that forced me to turn them off before they would show me anything. That was worse than ads. Then, I tried Chromium on Linux, and it was a good compromise for a year or so. My version of Chromium does not accept add-ons, but doesn’t seem to need them. It is better than Chrome on my Android phone.
Then I started using Brave on Android. Highly recommended. Except for about a week when they messed something up, no ads. Period. Even on YouTube. Best of all, those sites that blocked my ad blockers worked fine with Brave.
Brave has a few quirks, including some sort of points system, but I ignore that, and it has never been intrusive. Highly recommended.
Why Chrome, Chromium, and Brave instead of Firefox? There was a time when FF did some bad things to me, and I suddenly disliked it. They changed whatever that was, but by then I had moved to Chromium based browsers. One thing I like about these is their improved search within a page capability. Nothing is perfect, and saving pages in Chromium based browsers is, in my experience, sometimes quirky. I don’t do that very often.
Ah the great and glorious freedom to choose!
I just refuse to turn off my ad blocker. I can’t think of the last time that was an issue, but there was one I’m sure. I have a memory of some site I used to visit a lot insisting before I just left. The ad model is broken anyway, no one but chinese and indian bot farmers ever clicks on an ad, 90% of what I do see (usually follow up emails or “maybe you’d like this because of that” notices) are too late anyway. I already bought what I was looking for and don’t need another.
Even pinterest has given up and shows you more than 5 pictures now. I used to HATE the pollution of search results with pinterest photos that you can’t actually see without joining and logging in. It’s better now. IDK what their conversion rate was, or how many stayed engaged after the first use, but I bet both were low.

A Federal Judge (Obola appointee) has denied the Nevada GOP request to issue an injunction that the State stop using a machine to verify signatures. He said it’s not his purview to interfere with State Judges and Legislature. Yet, they do it all the time (imagine what he would have said if it was Plugs’ request).
SCOTUS just issued orders on segregation of mail in votes in PA. I guess the Fed Judge is wrong.
SCOTUS just issued orders on segregation of mail in votes in PA. I guess the Fed Judge is wrong.
The PA Supreme Court rewrote the law about mail in ballots, changing unambiguous language. There may be something positive in that situation.
The article I read pointed out that the PA supreme court changed the law, which is unconstitutional because the federal constitution devolves the state voting rules to the legislatures of the states.
Also, it’s just wrong. The legislature makes laws, not a court.
Well, exactly. Activist judges are the bane of us all.
Also, it’s just wrong. The legislature makes laws, not a court.
The Constitution is clear that the Legislatures set the rules for selecting the Electors in their respective states, not the courts. In theory, the PA Court invalidating the clause requiring ballots to be in by 8 PM thus invalidated the entire law allowing the mail-in voting in PA due to the Covid mess.
Still it is all irrelevant if Biden wins NV and holds AZ.
