Sun. June 30, 2019 – rain rain go away….

By on June 30th, 2019 in Random Stuff

Rain is forecast for my whole drive. I’m hoping the FEMA national forecast is as wrong as it’s been for the last several months.

I might have a second or two to look at this auto-post before scrambling to get out the door. Or not.

I’m headed home, reversing course headed south thru Illinois, then toward Memphis, but turning and stopping just short of Little Rock.

I got almost everything packed. I’ve got a couple of tubs to load up and put on the hitch mount carrier first thing in the morning. I decided to take down this pc then too.

I walked thru most of the house with my camera last night. I’ll get the upstairs rooms and outdoors before leaving. That should help me move on. If things don’t go smoothly I might make it back one more time, but I’m hoping for a smooth sale from here on out.

It felt good to get my dad’s shop cleaned up and organized. I didn’t find any treasure, and got the camera to look in the last spot tonight. I’m pretty sure we found it all. Now we just have to get the stuff sold and the house sold so mom can move on.

And I need to get me and the child home safely.

So I’m off….

I would take your trip a little slower if you still have the factory original shocks. Sound like you are really loaded up.

I still have the factory shocks on my 2005 Expy with 208k miles. They seem ok, even when I am towing that 4,000 lb boom lift. But, I do not run fully loaded ever.

Austin got hammered last night. The weather is still drippy today.

Portland. If the shooting war starts anywhere, it will be there.

And, as I’ve written previously, don’t make any assumptions about who is better armed. The Portland-Seattle I-5 corridor has a long hunting tradition in families, and a government check in some form is how most people put food on the table.

Drive safe. Weather finally broke in Austin, but it sounds like Texas won’t be a concern until tomorrow.

I’m reading stuff about Trump visiting Korea. I may well be a moron but this makes me grin.

Treating Kim like a real person and not like the stinky kid everyone stayed away from in High-school? What a novel concept….. like anything else has worked, ever, since 1953 or so?

East and West Germany reunited. No reason Korea can’t do the same.

Plus, tRump can crow about being “the first sitting President” to step foot in NK. The Libturd heads are exploding.

The problem is that Bush 43 treated Khadaffy like a real person and cut a deal which Obama and Cankles promptly forgot about.

North Korea was watching and took notes.

No side trip to see the Gemini Giant on Rt. 66?

On my list for next time.
