It was 39 degrees, cloudy, and breezy when I took Colin out at 7:30.
Things are about the same. His heart doctor called me yesterday afternoon to let me know they are going to hold off on a procedure to the lungs to see if they will clear up on their own. He is supposed to have a smaller trach tube put in today.
Baby steps…
Let him know we are all pulling for you, when it’s appropriate.
Stout heart!

Hang in there Barbara, things are getting better. Bob will be on his feet in no time.
Charlie Manson continues to cause problems. (hangin’ out in Bakersfield)

“Charlie Manson continues to cause problems. (hangin’ out in Bakersfield)”
Think Dwight Yoakim will make a song about that?
News came out o’ Bakersfield.
Charlie’s at it again.
The hospital’s gotta give him to someone.
Since the man died in the slam.
People all seem to want a piece.
The Manson legend’s worth cash.
Stuff him and set up a roadside stand.
“See Charlie with a fill-up of gas.”
REFRAIN
Not enough Charlie to go around.
We got freaks, we got profiteers
Try’n to get their hands on ol’ Charlie.
They’ll keep the case tied up for years.
There’s the wife he married in prison.
Spare me their conjugal night.
There’s the pen-pal and then there’s the grandson.
Two more make up a fight.
They’ll keep him in California
Or off to Wisconsin.
Or send him out on tour across the land
Or a weirdo can put on his skin.
REFRAIN
Not enough Charlie to go around.
We got freaks, we got profiteers
Try’n to get their hands on ol’ Charlie.
They’ll keep the case tied up for years.
Why can’t we all get along?
Share Charlie like adults.
No need to get people to support your side.
We’ve had enough of cults.
We can set up a time-share.
Or use a big bandsaw.
Make enough pieces for everyone.
Dibs on the swastika.
REFRAIN
There’s enough Charlie to go around.
Lots of pieces, some of them small.
Spread Charlie Manson across the land.
There’s Charlie enough for all.
Perfect Steve!!
Foe the resident techie types who may remember Jeri Ellsworth: She’s back.
@ech, had Christmas at the middle brother’s house tonight, a couple of blocks away from your house. We had a great time, the sister-in-law made a huge pasta with meat sauce meal. My wife made two pumpkin pies from scratch (I’ve only had a single piece so far as I knew I could get that at home).
Man, his neighborhood is dead. Only two houses on his street did not get flooded by Braes Bayou, his house and another new house from a tear-down. So the houses on his street are very dark and have construction dumpsters in the driveways. Except for his house on the corner, he has all of his security lights on and his hunting dogs roaming the side yard, barking at anything that moves. He got to call the cops on a house squatter already, not good.
In re song lyrics, I misheard a doozie last night.
Gloria Gaynor’s _I Will Survive_:
Go on now, go. Walk out the door.
Just turn around now ’cause you’re not welcome anymore.
Weren’t you the one who tried to crush me with your thighs?
Missing OFD & RBT. They will survive.
@lynn
Our street has at least 8 houses occupied and 2 that look close to movein. The teardowns start after the first of the year from what I can tell. We have floods on at night also.
