08:27 – I just started reading Steven Konkoly’s The Jakarta Pandemic, which is currently a free download on Amazon.com. I made it though the first 24% of the book last night. I liked that well enough that I bought the first book in his follow-on series, The Perseid Collapse. That’s currently selling for $2.99 versus the usual $4.99.

I’m still working on taxes.

Me too. Seems like all I do this time of the year between the corporate and personal tax returns. But, I am over withheld (slightly) so I do not have to send them one thin dime! And I am heading to another engineering conference in San Antonio this weekend.

I am reading “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”. Pretty good so far, I am going to order the sequels.

Definitely has that “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” going.

I finished the whole Bracken trilogy; it was pretty good and well-written; he tries to cover too much, though. Still, recommended reading. We already know who the thinly veiled political figures are, but some of the chatter on weapons and tactics and procedures is good.

Latest Sovereign Man email reports on how the U.S. will no longer underwrite the world’s economic system and we are in terminal decline. A rocky road ahead, etc.

We had to move to another set of dog stairs as the previous stairs were not very wide or sturdy. I bought a Pet Gear Easy Step II Extra Wide Pet Stairs, 2-step/for cats and dogs up to 200-pounds on Amazon. Works well for my 35 lb 12 year old british cocker spaniel. She bypasses the stairs about half the time but uses them occasionally. I think that the 20 inch width helps to reassure her that the stairs are safe. The stairs were easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I disagree. These things tend to come in waves rather than a straight linear drop to the bottom. The USA is definitely in decline right now but who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Overcast here in the high 30s with continuing freezing rain, sleet and snow. So a bit of jollity:

You’ll see a clip of some fem-wackos at a Goddard College, VT gathering, a known hotbed of Maoist/prog zeitgeist; note where the lone male’s hands are placed. Protecting himself???
