- I've simply been covered up, writing and working in the lab and shooting and editing videos.
This
week will be more hectic than most. We learned over the weekend that
the last of Barbara's dad's surviving brothers had died. The funeral is
Friday, so Barbara is taking off Wednesday to drive her mom and dad up
to Allentown. They'll return Saturday.

Barbara has just left to drive her parents up to Pennslyvania for her
uncle's funeral. She'll be back Saturday. We had dinner last night with
Mary and Paul, after which we all headed over to SciWorks for the
Forsyth Astronomical Society meeting. The speaker was Steve Childers,
one of our observing buddies, who spoke about running a Messier
Marathon.
None of us had been to an FAS meeting in two or three
years, so there were lots of people there we hadn't met. Or, in some
cases, whom we'd met, but only in the dark at an observing session. It
was an odd experience for me. At least six or eight people came up to
me and greeted me by name, saying they had one or both of Barbara's and
my astronomy books. I had no clue who they were, so I just chatted
politely.
I'll be shooting more videos while Barbara's gone. I
have 11 posted now, and I'd like to get two or three more up in the
next few days.
